With the use of the Autopilot, our airplane (Global Express XRS) and ourselves as the pilots have been certified to conduct CAT II approaches.

The minimums for this type of approach are typically 100′ HAT (Height Above Threshold). Typical CAT I ILS approaches use an altitude as a minimum, but CAT II and IIIA/B approaches use RADALT readings. With the autopilot coupled, we are allowed to fly down to 80′ HAT before disconnecting and continuing manual.

Watch the video to see what 100′ minimums look like. There is not much time left to touch down (a few seconds!!). A go-around decision at this point would likely mean the main gears would touch the runway pavement during the procedure before re-accelerating upwards.
