Only Body Weight Required
Do you ever find yourself in a bind where there is no gym at your hotel? You really don’t feel like running around the area or paying for a pricey day pass at a gym… Keep in mind that having a lack of a fitness facility doesn’t mean you lack the capability of getting a workout in. Sometimes, we forget that our bodies can be used as our own personal gym. By adjusting the difficulty, duration, and intensity you can create an in room workout.
Try some in room exercises:
Lungs
Easy: Standing alternating lungs
Harder: Jumping alternating lungs
*Start with 3 sets of 8-10 reps each leg
Step Ups
Have an ottoman or non-rolling chair?
Easy: Alternating step ups, tap at the top
Harder: Alternating step ups, bring knee to chest at the top
*Start with 3 sets of 8-10 reps each leg
**This is great if you are watching TV, step during a whole commerical
Chair Tricep dips
Easy: Dips with knees bent
Harder: Dips with legs elevated
*Start with 3 sets of 5-6 reps
Wall sits:
Easy:Up against a wall, squat in a 90 degree seated position
Harder: Single leg wall sits
* Start with 20 seconds then rest for 30 seconds then repeat
** Try holding sit for an entire commercial, break for the next one, then repeat until your show is back on.
